Water quality testing Bromine reagent Bromine content determination
The bromine reagent for water quality testing is used to determine the bromine content in drinking water, hospital wastewater, industrial wastewater,
Product details

Water quality testing Bromine reagent Bromine content determinationUsed for detecting bromine residues in drinking water, hospital wastewater, industrial wastewater, and other water treated with bromine containing disinfectants.

Technical principles

Water quality testing Bromine reagent Bromine content determinationBased on the principle of DPD method in national standard GB/5750.11-2006, the solution is reacted with DPD reagent to make it red. The bromine content in the water sample can be obtained by measuring the absorbance value of the colorimetric solution at the test wavelength. Within a certain concentration range, the absorbance value is proportional to the bromine content in the water sample.

Testing precautions

1. For more accurate testing, the blank value of the reagent should be measured every 3 months. The determination of reagent blank is also carried out according to the testing steps, except that the sample is replaced with pure water for testing. Subtract the blank value of the reagent from the final test result;

2. If the content is higher than the reagent range, the measured value can only be used to estimate the dilution factor and cannot be used as a test result. After diluting the sample, retest;

3. This reagent is a white or light gray powder. If the reagent clumps or turns black, please stop using it and contact the manufacturer;

4. The pH value of the water sample to be tested is 5.0-8.0;

5. The color development solution is unstable, and the test should be completed within 1 minute after the color development is completed, otherwise the test results will be inaccurate;

6. If the bromine concentration in the water sample is too high, a phenomenon of appearing pink and then fading to colorless will occur in step 2. In this case, it is recommended to dilute it appropriately before testing;

7. Store in a dry, cool place, out of reach of children. Do not store with food, medicine, etc., and do not put into fire.
